SEGUIN, Texas - A local drug dealer was arrested Thursday despite her attempts to keep law enforcement out of the home.

Authorities were called to the 800 block of Nelda Street Thursday to execute a search warrant. Detectives found a stolen short barrel firearm from Corpus Christi, drugs and cash inside. April Castillo, 40, barricaded the home and used nails to fortify the door frame.

Castillo faces charges for manufacturing/delivery of a controlled substance, tampering with a serial number, theft of a firearm and possession of a prohibited weapon. She is in the Guadalupe County Jail.

A Facebook post from the Seguin police department said Castillo learned drug dealer life lesson #736: "“Barricading your doors doesn’t keep law enforcement out. Ever.”
