Police arrested a man accused of robbing someone during a sales meetup arranged through a popular app.

According to court papers, the victim arranged to buy some property through the app, Offer Up. The victim and suspect planned to meet along Lasses Boulevard, near South New Braunfels and Southeast Military Drive in late December.

That's when another person, who was with the suspect, pulled out a gun and robbed the victim of his cash. They took in a car and the victim jotted down the license plate information.

Investigators later used the license plate information and the suspect's Offer Up profile to identify him as James Brinkley, 18. Brinkley is charged with aggravated robbery.
