Man accused of shooting at dog, firing bullet in back of victim's right eye socket
SAN ANTONIO - Authorities arrested a man Saturday accused of shooting at a dog and firing several times at a man, sending him to the hospital.
Authorities were called to Ferris Avenue and Bellinger April 19 for reports of a shooting. A witness told authorities that Derrick Hardaway, 18, shot the victim in the side of his neck, right shoulder and right bicep, leaving him with a bullet lodged in the back of his right eye socket. The witness claimed Hardaway shot at her dog using a handgun and later shot the victim.
Hardaway faces a charge for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The victim remains at University Hospital in critical condition.
