Man accused of shooting two people at South Side cabaret charged with aggravated assault

SAN ANTONIO - Authorities arrested a man accused of shooting two people at a South Side cabaret two weeks ago.

Ralph Lugo, 31, allegedly shot a man and a woman using a handgun at the MGM Cabaret Aug. 3. The United States Marshals arrested Lugo Aug. 12 in El Paso.

Officials said the women shot in the parking lot was targeted by Lugo. The shooting could be family violence, because Lugo lived in the same home as the victim. The woman was released from the hospital, officials said.

Lugo faces an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge after being extradited to Bexar County.
