Man armed with knife attacks store clerk during morning robbery

A store clerk was injured after he was attacked by a man armed with a knife early Wednesday morning.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, a man walked into the Smart Stop store on North New Braunfels near East Houston Street and approached the clerk with a knife just before 8 a.m.

The two began to struggle and the clerk was stabbed in the arm and leg. The attacker ran off with some cash and has not been arrested.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. His condition remained unknown.

Investigators said the robber was wearing a camo jacket, but offered no other details on his description.
