Driver attacked with rock after road rage incident fights back, holds suspect for police
SAN ANTONIO —
A man who was reportedly attacked following a road rage incident along Highway 281 fought back and held a suspect down until police arrived.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the victim was driving along Highway 281 at about 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday when he became involved in a road rage incident with another car.
Police say the victim pulled into the Ravinia Apartments at Hwy. 281 and Redland Road and parked. That's when officers say the suspects walked up to the victim's car and threw a large rock through the driver's side window, hitting him in the head.
He grabbed his gun, started firing at the suspects and held one of them down until police arrived. None of the suspects were shot. Investigators say the victim is licensed to carry a concealed handgun.
The suspect, identified as William Oliviera is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Two other suspects were taken into custody by police.
