New Braunfels man shot in stomach during argument

NEW BRAUNFELS - An argument turned violent when a gun was brought into the mix on Thursday night.

The incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. at a home on the 100 block of Caddell Lane.

New Braunfels Police Officers said that when they arrived they found a 28-year-old man laying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the stomach. A suspect, Michael Medina, 26, was question and it was revealed that he and the victim had an argument. At some point during the argument, Medina got a handgun and shot the victim.

Medina was arrested without incident, transported to the Comal County Jail, and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, a first-degree felony.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing and additional charges may be pending.
