Nude woman lying on roadway dies after being struck by car, police say

SAN ANTONIO - A nude woman who was seen lying on the roadway was struck and killed by a driver early Sunday morning, according to officers.

Police were called to the 9700 block of IH 10 W Northbound at around 1:40 a.m.

According to a VIA police officer, a nude woman who was possibly under the influence of an unknown substance was seen walking on the street before being struck.

The woman then ran east across the eastbound lanes and westbound lanes of IH10 and laid down in the roadway. A passing car that was traveling on the roadway was unable to avoid striking the woman.

According to authorities, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victims's identification has not been released. There are no pending charges in this case.
