One dead after wrong-way driver collides with tractor-trailer, both erupt in flames
SAN ANTONIO —
A driver was going the wrong way on Interstate Highway 10 Sunday morning when the vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer, both erupted in flames and the driver died.
Police said a driver of a vehicle was driving in the wrong Eastbound lane on the 3700 block of I-10 near Martin Luther King Drive Sunday morning around 2:30 a.m. when it collided with a tractor-trailer. A witness of another vehicle said both the tractor-trailer and the wrong-way vehicle erupted in flames.
When officers arrived and the fire had been extinguished, a deceased person was found inside. The driver of the tractor-trailer was able to exit his vehicle with minor injuries.
Authorities said no other victims were located and investigators made the scene for processing.
