POLICE: Man in 40s shoots self in field near Far Northwest Side Starbucks

SAN ANTONIO - A man was rushed to the hospital after police say he apparently shot himself in a field near a Starbucks..

The shooting happened off Loop 1604 and Shaenfield Rd around 5 p.m. in the field.

Officers say a man in a tent near the Starbucks had shot himself in the knee, so called a friend. The friend called officers to the scene, where they found the man with his gunshot wound.

The man was taken to the hospital, his condition is unknown. Police could not confirm whether the shooting was intentional or not.
