SAN ANTONIO - One teenager is in custody, suspected in a pair of robberies on the Southwest Side. His suspected partner, is on the run.

Police say it started when a robbery with a shot fired was reported in the 2400 block of Steves Avenue.

They tell us no one was hit, but the two suspects in ski masks took off in a white KIA Soul with nothing.

Soon after, police say another robbery was reported not far away.

The victim told them two males in ski masks held him at gunpoint, demanding his wallet.

The victim did not give it to them and the two took off, again in a white KIA Soul and again with nothing.

After the two reported robberies, police put out a description looking for the vehicle.

Officers say one of them noticed the vehicle in the 1300 block of Rigsby near an apartment.

The driver of the vehicle parked the car near the apartment and took off, while the passenger was detained inside the car.

Police say the suspect in custody is not being cooperative, saying he knows nothing of the crimes despite having a ski mask on his head.

The investigation is ongoing as they continue the search for the second suspect.
