Police car rear ended while blocking traffic for previous accident
SAN ANTONIO —
A police car was rear ended Saturday morning while it was blocking traffic for a previous accident.
Authorities said a police officer was blocking traffic for a previous accident Saturday morning around 2 a.m. on Interstate Highway 35 and West Martin Street when his car was rear ended by a car traveling southbound. The police officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to the downtown hospital.
The driver was also taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. The highway was closed down and reopened around 3:30 a.m.
Police are investigating.
