Police: Converse suspects tried to cook meth in Walmart parking lot
CONVERSE, Texas —
Two suspects were arrested early Tuesday morning while they were trying to cook meth in a Walmart parking lot.
Robert Robles, 34, and September Alvarez, 22, were arrested when Converse police found a suspicious vehicle at about 3 a.m. in the parking lot of a Walmart located at 8315 FM78. Authorities believe the pair were trying to cook meth in the parking lot because of the odor coming from inside the car. After a search officials found five stolen handguns, drug paraphernalia, ammunition and identifying information that did not belong to either.
Robles provided a false name to the officers. He had a warrant in California for a probation violation.
