SAN ANTONIO — UPDATE: Just minutes after appealing directly to a 9-year-old boy who disappeared on his way home from school on Tuesday afternoon, the San Antonio Police Department confirmed he was found.
Isaiah 'Ronnie' Hedland was apparently found in the back yard of a home in the same neighborhood where he was last seen, near Graebner Elementary School on the South Side.
"Ronnie, if you're listening or if you're with someone who's listening, we want you to know that your dad misses you very much and you are not in trouble," said Chief William McManus during a press conference just minutes before news broke that he was found.
Ronnie was last seen walking home from Graebner Elementary School, located along Hoover Street, on the South Side. He remained missing during the overnight hours, as temperatures hovered in the 40s.

UPDATE: The San Antonio Police Department plans to hold a press conference on Tuesday morning to talk about the case of missing child Isaiah "Ronnie" Hedland, 9.
SAN ANTONIO - Isaiah "Ronnie" Hedland, 9, was last seen earlier Tuesday.
Police say the 4'4'' child weighs about 56 pounds and has brown hair and eyes.
He has a distinguishing mole on the left side of his face and was last seen in the 500 block of Hoover near Graebner Elementary School, located south of downtown.
Police said he is right-handed with curly ear length hair. He was last seen in a white polo, khaki pants and carrying a camouflage backpack.
