SAN ANTONIO - We are now back to a weather pattern of rain. This new pattern will not last just a day or two, but will last for at least the next seven days.
“I can’t believe what I’m seeing," said Meteorologist Brad Sowder. "The rain isn’t stopping. We are - no doubt - challenging history for San Antonio’s wettest month."
San Antonio rainfall total for the month (including what we got Thursday morning) is 14.88-inches. We're just 0.91-inch away from breaking the record.
For Thursday and the next couple days look for showers and storms to increase in coverage later in the day. From Thursday and into the weekend look for a widespread two to four inches of rain, and some areas could get more.
“It’s developing into the form of going back to where we were,” explains Sowder. “Rain every single day starting today.”
This pattern will continue to offer a chance of flooding. Additional rain chances and possible flooding will continue for next week.
“Flash flooding chances go up as we go into Friday and Saturday – and then all next week,” said Sowder.
