San Antonio City Council says 31 applicants applied to replace Sculley as City Manger

    SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio City Council is starting its search for the next city manager.

    Thirty-one applicants have applied for the position.

    Council members are discussing what steps they will take to fill Current City Manger Sheryl Sculley's roll. The council has until Feb. 1 to make its decision.

    Sculley announced she was retiring last month. Her announcement came after voters approved a city charter amendment to limit tenure and pay for future city managers.
