San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) needs your help providing lifesaving medical care to puppies suffering from canine parvovirus (parvo).

Parvo is a deadly virus that weakens the immune system and has a 91 percent mortality rate, if left untreated. Puppies with this condition are not considered adoptable when they get to Animal Care Services because it is very expensive and time-consuming to treat.

SAPA! spends approximately $500 on treatment per puppy. This includes lifesaving treatments, special foods, vaccines, IVs and spay/neutering.

SAPA! currently has 16 parvo positive puppies. They are only one of two rescues in Texas that takes sick puppies with life-threatening illnesses such as this.
