SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio Zoo announced they are hosting the 2nd annual Night Out at the Zoo as the official kick-off event for Pride San Antonio’s first-ever Pride Week.

The zoo says, "Night Out at the Zoo is a family-friendly ticketed event for guests of all ages to enjoy a supportive environment celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community in a wildly zoo-nique way."

Night Out at the Zoo will be held on Friday, June 17, from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with entertainment, community resources, animal encounters, unique vendors, live music, a parade, a fashion show, and more.

“We are thrilled to kick off the first-ever Pride Week in San Antonio,” said Tim Morrow, President and CEO of San Antonio Zoo. “This is truly a historical moment that we are honored to be part of. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are essential to maintaining a vibrant and flourishing community. I hope that Night Out at the Zoo inspires even more people to love, engage with, act for, and protect animals and the places they live.”

The after-hours event will include a proclamation from the mayor, a pride parade, a fashion show, animal interactions, and a dance party, all hosted by Kendoll and Kristi Waters.
