San Antonio's first cannabis club to launch Wednesday
SAN ANTONIO -- Whether you're an advocate or just have questions, a new local meetup is launching this week in hopes to end the stigma surrounding cannabis and provide education.
Alyssa Walker of Twenty Something SA and Rick Martinez of Green Seed Cannabis are launching a monthly meetup dubbed Cannabis + Coffee.
“There is so much misinformation about cannabis,” said Walker. “Through education and open conversation, our goal is to create a community that can put the stigma aside, if even for just an hour, to learn about the mental and physical health benefits of cannabis, the business of cannabis, and more.”
The meetings will focus on CBD products only, which are legal in all 50 states. Each meeting will feature a topic centralized around CBD.
“The San Antonio cannabis startup community is more robust than most people have ever imagined,” said Martinez, owner of Green Seed Cannabis.
The first meeting will take place at Shotgun House Coffee Roasters, 1333 Buena Vista St., on Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and include admission to the one-hour event, one CBD-infused caramel, and CBD-infused coffee.
