SAWS to send water tanker to Austin as residents cope with boil water notice
SAN ANTONIO —
San Antonio Water System will lend a helping hand on Monday when it sends a water tanker with 5,000 gallons of clean water to the city of Austin.
Austin Water issued a boil water notice early Monday morning and there was a shortage of bottled water at some grocery stores in the area.
SAWS said its assistance was requested by the city of Austin. The water tanker will be made available to those in need of clean water in the area.
Austin has seen significant flooding over the last week, which led to Monday morning's water crisis.
