Somerset ISD to file charges against student who made terroristic threats

    SAN ANTONIO - A student is facing charges for making a terroristic threat against Somerset ISD this week.

    Somerset ISD issued a statement on its Facebook page acknowledging the letter making terroristic threats against the district. Somerset ISD Police found the letter on Monday, but school was not in session due to it being President's Day.

    After an investigation was done and Somerset Police were able to track the author of the letter to an 18-year-old male student.

    "Somerset ISD does not take these threats lightly and will file charges. Furthermore, administrative action, of the most severe manner, will be taken."

    The Somerset High School senior who is suspected as authoring the letter was suspended and could face expulsion, as well as charges for making a terroristic threat.
