The Texas Education Agency (TEA) issued state accountability ratings for all school districts, charters and campuses on Wednesday morning.

San Antonio Independent school district received a "C".

"In the end children will win. We will have issues that we will have to figure out to navigate but at the end what I believe is children need to win in this system. I think in this system children will win," said SAISD Superintendent Pedro Martinez.

You can view your school's grade in the full list below.

Several districts, including Northside ISD are concerned about this new system, which rates school districts based on letter grades.

"That one single letter grade can be very misleading," said Barry Perez, Executive Director of Communications and spokesman for Northside ISD. "We don't want parents to lose sight of the fact that schools have so many other components beyond standardized testing."

Below is a statement from Northeast ISD's superintendent Dr. Brian G. Gottardy:

"Overly simplified letter grades are misleading. The A-F rating system consists of more than 2,600 data points. It is the most complex accountability system in Texas history. It is neither simple nor transparent. We believe in meaningful accountability- but no single rating can adequately capture the true effort and effectiveness of a school or district. Students and schools are so much more than one test score."

Northside, Northeast, Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City and Alamo Heights all received "B" ratings. Boerne ISD and Lackland both received an "A."

All school districts are graded in three main areas - Student Achievement, School Progress and a category called Closing the Gap.

  • Boerne ISD - A
  • Brackett ISD - A
  • Medina Valley ISD - A
  • Poth ISD - A
  • Fort Sam ISD - A
  • Lackland ISD - A
  • Randolph ISD - A
  • Shiner ISD - A
  • Falls City ISD - A
  • Natalia ISD - F
  • Uvalde CISD - F
  • Gonzales ISD - F
