Teachers taking armed active shooter training at San Antonio gun store
SAN ANTONIO - Teachers are bearing arms, and gun sales are soaring for LoneStar Handgun in San Antonio.
"People want to be equipped better to confront a bad situation," Firearms instructor, Jaime Correa said.
Since the shooting in Parkland, Florida, Correa said more people are buying more guns of all types.
Correa said teachers are also taking armed active shooter training.
In the past two weeks, Correa said twenty teachers have taken the course.
Another forty educators are slated to take the class later this month.
"We are going to expose our students to a world they don't know," Correa said.
Correa said no matter what situation you're in, you should be trained with a firearm to do what you have to do to protect those you love.
"Look at all the evidence when people just wait behind a table," Correa said.
Correa said with more talks of gun control, more people will come and bear arms and learn how to use them.
