SAN ANTONIO — It seems that drivers aren't interested in the "spirit of the season" when they get behind the wheel during the holidays.
That's because a new study found that drivers are 175% MORE aggressive during the holidays than compared to the rest of the year.
Surprised? GasBuddy said drivers are more likely to accelerate quickly, brake hard and speed while trying to get to their holiday destination. Additionally, Texas ranks third in the country for the most aggressive holiday drivers, behind Georgia (number 1) and California (2).
In Texas, drivers average 10 aggressive driving maneuvers overall during the holidays. The states with least aggressive drivers were Alaska (50) and Hawaii (51 - Washington, D.C. came in at 49).
