Nine months after firefighter Scott Deem lost his life in an alleged arson incident, the State of Texas has finished an investigative report into other factors that may have contributed to his death.

In December, Fox San Antonio requested a copy of the state's report which is called "Line of Duty Death Report." Two weeks ago in a letter from the city of San Antonio Fox San Antonio was informed that:

"The city has determined there are no responsive documents to you request."

But our sources tell us during a closed door executive session, your city council tomorrow will get a chance to go through this report with the city attorney.

The report compiled by the state and other agencies will include a look at the fire scene, an examination of the personal protective equipment, a review of the fire ground operations and tactics used, and we will see a detailed sequence of events using radio transmissions and witnesses from that horrific night when Scott Patrick Deem lost his life in the line of duty.

Fox San Antonio has reached out to Scott Deem's family through their attorney and we are waiting on a statement about what the report contains. We also filed a complain against the City of San Antonio with the Attorney General's Office for not releasing at least the preliminary document that has been in their possession.
