Man dead after pickup truck goes off I-35 into creek in South Austin

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin-Travis County EMS says a man has died after a pickup truck went off southbound I-35 and landed in a creek on Wednesday morning.

It happened South Austin near Woodland Avenue. The vehicle was not submerged in the water, police say.

EMS says the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police believe the crash may have happened overnight, but no one found the truck until this morning.
