SAN ANTONIO (KABB) — Frontline workers who've spent the last few months stocking shelves at Walmart stores during the COVID-19 pandemic will get another bonus this week for their hard work.
Full-time workers are getting an extra $300, part-time workers are getting an extra $150 and assistant managers are getting an extra $400 on top of their usual pay.
"Walmart and Sam’s Club associates continue to do remarkable work, and it’s important we reward and appreciate them," said John Furner, President and CEO of Walmart U.S. "All across the country, they’re providing Americans with the food, medicine and supplies they need, while going above and beyond the normal scope of their jobs - diligently sanitizing their facilities, making customers and members feel safe and welcome, and handling difficult situations with professionalism and grace."
This is the third bonus for employees since the start of the pandemic. Walmart says it continues to look for ways to reward employees who've continued working through the crisis.
