The sister of a woman who found a missing child says he was found lying in an alley in the same neighborhood where he went missing on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Emily Perales, she says her sister called her on Wednesday morning to say she was concerned about Isaiah 'Ronnie' Hedland, who went missing while walking home from school from Graebner Elementary School.

Perales' sister added that she and a teenage relative would go looking for Ronnie.

"She called a little bit later and is like, 'we found him,'" recalls Perales of the conversation with Clarissa Perales after she found Ronnie.

Perales says her sister found Ronnie lying down in an alley. She initially thought he might be homeless, but that he jumped up when she said, "Ronnie, Ronnie!"

This is the south side alley where missing 9-year-old boy, Isaiah Ronnie Hedland, was found by a good Samaritan.

His shoes were off and placed to the side, as if he had taken them off to go to sleep, said Perales.

The little boy apparently couldn't remember what happened to him.

Clarissa Perales and the teenage relative were questioned by police and released several hours later. SAPD did not comment on the investigation.
