HOUSTON - A woman is dead after being trapped in a house fire early Friday morning.
The tragic incident happened around 2 a.m. near Honey Bee Ct. and Amber Rose Lane on Houston's Northside.
The Westfield Fire Department say that when they arrived to the scene, they saw heavy flames coming from the second floor. The firefighters had to fight the blaze for over 30 minutes before they were able to make their way inside.
Authorities say that a man that lived in the house was transported to the hospital and is in unknown condition. The EMS on scene say that the woman that was trapped inside was pronounced deceased on scene.
