Woman murdered for her purse, police offer $5K reward for tips
SAN ANTONIO —
More than two months after the murder of a woman during an apparent robbery, police are issuing a plea for help from the public.
On March 22, Candida Jimenez was walking with a friend to her apartment on Danny Kaye Street when a third person approached them and demanded her purse.
Jimenez, 22, was shot several times and her friend was shot in the foot. She was taken to University Hospital where she later died.
On Tuesday, Crime Stoppers offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the suspect's arrest. If you have information that may help detectives, call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP.
