Woman shoots, kills ex-boyfriend with shotgun after he breaks into home, report states

SAN ANTONIO - A woman shot her ex-boyfriend Wednesday evening after he broke into her home, according to police at the scene on the Far West Side.
According to officers in the 10300 block of Lynx Crossing, the woman had recently broken up with the man.
The woman told officers she hid in the bathroom when he broke into her home and shot him with a shotgun when he entered.
The man was shot in the abdomen and reportedly had no pulse when officers arrived, he was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office later confirmed the man died. He has been identified as Javier Plata, 24.
The incident remained under investigation.
