SAN ANTONIO - A woman was critically hurt after crashing her car into a traffic signal in North Bexar County.

The accident happened along Highway 281 near Summer Glen, at about 1:30 a.m. on Friday.

Police said it appeared the driver was speeding and lost control of the car when it hit the pole and caught fire.

She suffered burns to her lower body and was rushed to University Hospital in critical condition.
