With our Women of San Antonio Award, we want to feature women who make a positive impact on lives in San Antonio. This month's 'Women of San Antonio Award' goes to Nahed Azzam!
Nahed is a full-time dental hygienist, but still finds the time to attend small business events, as well as community and charitable events. Her team, Unity Unicorns, focuses their efforts and commits themselves to supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. We also got a chance to hear about Nahed's family, and her work with her evening dress boutique, Gardenia Fashion. Here's her nomination entry:
"Nahed is an amazing woman. She has started her own business while she works full time as a dental hygienist. She is constantly involved in the community by attending small business events and community and charitable events. She and her team "Unity Unicorns" commit themselves to supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. As a women from a Middle Eastern ethnic background, Nahed has succeeded and made a name for herself and I'm proud to call her my friend."
We also got to have a quick chat with Dick and Kristin Tips about why Mission Park Funeral Chapels and Cemeteries are so committed to recognizing the contributions of women, and about how they help women celebrate life!
