LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A 78-year-old man caught up in a brutal beating is speaking out for the first time.

Police have arrested two of the three attackers seen on surveillance.

Officers still looking for two other suspects.

Rodolfo Cerda, the carjacking victim said, "They are going to kill me that's what I think. It's my last day."

It is the terrifying thought that went through the mind of Cerda as three teenagers savagely beat him. Now with his right eye fractured and swollen shut from the attack, Cerda remembers the initial moment he was surrounded.

"They are coming from one side and the other side and start hitting me and then I'm dropping on the floor. They start hitting me again."

Cerda tells us Tuesday night just after 5 p.m. he went to eat dinner at one of his favorite Mexican restaurants near Eastern and Fremont. He never expected he would get jumped.

"They wanted to take my wallet to see if I got the money. They stole my telephone."

The suspects ended up taking his Ford Taurus.

A day later, police found Cerda's car in West Las Vegas near Sahara and Fort Apache. Officers say a break in the case led to the arrest of four juveniles.

Police tell us the teens were involved in a string of two other carjackings involving the elderly. Detectives are still looking for two other teens.

Hector Cerda, Rodolfo’s son said, "I hope they rot in jail that's what they need."

He says the whole ordeal has traumatized the family.

Cerda now has to heal facial fractures. The swelling on Cerda's right eye was so intense during our interview he could not stop the tears. Through it all, Cerda who works as a security guard has only one concern right now.

Rodolfo Cerda said, "I'm going to lose my work."

Rodolfo's son, Hector, set up a GoFundMe account to help his father with his medical bills. It can be found by clicking here.
