"In January 2019, Bexar County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched for an assault in far west Bexar county. The responding deputy stated that as he was approaching the residence, the victim who was covered in blood and had several facial injuries flagged him down," said Garcia.
The victim told deputies that because of a relationship problem, both suspects were asked to move out of the home within a week. According to the victim, that's when the situation got physical.
"Deputies were told Stevenson hit the victim multiple times with a hammer, and while attempting to disarm Stevenson, Johnson came from behind and placed the victim in a choke-hold. After briefly passing out, the victim remembered waking up to being punched in the face and kicked repeatedly by Stevenson as Johnson held the victim down," said Garcia.
Deputies say that just before the suspects took off from the house, Stevenson threatened the victim with a knife.
