SAN ANTONIO - A little girl is recovering after an SUV slammed into her bedroom at a South Side home.

The accident happened just after midnight Monday at a home off Drury Lane near Pleasanton Road.

Police said the driver somehow lost control and crashed into the home then took off running. Authorities say he was quickly caught a few blocks away.

The room he hit was the bedroom of a 12-year-old girl. She was treated on the scene by paramedics for minor injuries, but she was visibly shaken up by the incident.

A huge hole was left by the SUV.

The 37-year-old driver was charged with failure to stop and give information.
