Elderly couple found dead at Methodist Hospital in apparent murder-suicide identified

SAN ANTONIO -A man and woman killed in an apparent murder-suicide at Methodist Hospital have been identified by Medical Examiners.

The elderly couple was identified as 87-year-old Thomas Michael Kane and 86-year-old Mary Ann Kane.

According to reports, Thomas Michael Kane walked into the hospital and shot and killed 86-year-old Mary Ann Kane before turning the gun on himself.

A hospital employee at Methodist Hospital went to check on the female patient around 10:30 a.m. , and found the couple dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

No word on why or how long the female victim was a patient at the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
