Ex-boyfriend arrested for murder after love triangle erupts in deadly gunfire

SAN ANTONIO - Police have just made an arrest for a deadly shooting we first told you about over the weekend.

20-year-old Gustavo Garrido Junior is accused of killing 22-year-old Jonathan Martinez inside an apartment belonging to the suspect's ex-girlfriend.

It happened early Saturday morning on Callaghan Road at the Majestic Ranch Apartments. Police say Garrido and his ex-girlfriend broke up in July, but he continued to pursue her. According to an arrest warrant, the victim, Jonathan Martinez, was in a relationship with the ex, and that made Garrido angry. Police say he showed up at her apartment and confronted them with a gun, shooting Martinez multiple times.

At last check, he remains at the Bexar County Jail charged with murder.
