SAN ANTONIO, Texas (WOAI) — A man ended up shooting himself in the leg after checking his backyard for a possible intruder.
The incident happened around 3:55 a.m., Tuesday, on the 800 block of Schley Avenue.
According to the police, the man thought he heard someone in his backyard, so he went outside with a firearm in hand.
Police say while the man was in the backyard, he shot himself once in the leg. He was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
