Man in critical condition after accidental shooting on North Side

SAN ANTONIO - A man is fighting for his life after accidentally shooting himself early Wednesday morning.

The shooting happened just before 4 a.m. off Stone Oak Parkway near Loop 1604 on the North Side.

Police said when they arrived, they found the man with a gunshot wound. Witnesses corroborated the information that this was an accidental, self-inflicted shooting.

The man was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
