SAN ANTONIO — A dog was found wandering a neighborhood with severe wounds all over his body.
The two-year-old dog, Odin, was found by a San Antonio Pets Alive! foster named Pamela. She stepped up to find him and brought him to SAPA! for help.
Odin was covered in deep scars and injuries on his face, neck, eyes, and legs. He came to Pamela's home tired, worn out, beaten, and sad. Pamela said,
The first night Odin arrived at my house, he was afraid. He just laid there and didn't want to eat or drink.
Odin visited SAPA!’s Medical Care Center, where the medical team accessed, and cleaned his wounds. He was prescribed pain medication, antibiotics, and eye drops.
Without the support of fosters, dogs like Odin would not have had a fighting chance. Fosters can make a grand difference by helping care for the ones that need help the most.
SAPA! is always in need of fosters to step up and care for precious animals like Odin. If anyone is interested in changing a life and becoming a foster they can visit the SAPA! website.
