Victim dies from gunshot wound, suspects taken into custody for questioning

SAN ANTONIO – Two people were taken into police custody following a fatal shooting on Saturday evening.

The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m., Saturday, on the 4400 block of Hampstead.

Upon arrival, the 51-year-old victim was found lifeless in the hallway, with gunshot wounds to the chest. He died on the scene.

Police say two suspects were taken into custody at the residence. They were both taken to SAPD Headquarters for statements.

This is an ongoing and active investigation.
