Alamodome apologizes for long lines, poor experience at UTSA football home opener
SAN ANTONIO —
The Alamodome issued an apology Tuesday after fans reported long lines and poor experiences at UTSA's home football opener last weekend against Baylor.
"Please accept the Alamodome's sincerest apologies for the long lines getting into the facility as well as at some of our concession stands at the UTSA vs. Baylor game," the statement read.
The mea culpa comes after the Alamodome "clearly fell short" Saturday with more than 42,000 people in attendance for UTSA's 37-20 loss to Baylor. Long lines led to several people missing most, if not all, of the first quarter.
UTSA's next home football game is Sept. 22 against in-state rival Texas State. Alamodome officials said "this situation will not happen again."
