USA brilliantly win 6-0 over Cuba in Gold Cup Quarterfinal

BALTIMORE-- The U.S. Men's National soccer team had a brilliant blowout win in the Quarterfinal match-up against Cuba at M&T Stadium on July 18 winning 6-0. USMNT will make their way to the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup Semifinals Wednesday, July 22 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia, against Jamaica.

The MNT improved its Gold Cup Quarterfinal record to 8-0-1 and extended its record to 6-0-0 against Cuba in the regional tournament. The six-goal win was the largest margin of victory for the USA in the history of the tournament.

Player of the game: Clint Dempsey (Forward)

Dempsey, 32, achieved a hat trick (3 goals). Dempsey's hat trick was the fourth in MNT Gold Cup history). Clint Dempsey scored his fourth, fifth and sixth goals in this Gold Cup Tournament. Dempsey is the current golden boot leader (top goal scorer). He now has 47 goals in his MNT career, including 11 in the Gold Cup, which ranks second on the all-time list.
