Gil Brandt to be inducted into Pro Football Hall of Fame
ATLANTA - Legendary Dallas Cowboys scout Gil Brandt will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer.
Brandt spent 28 years with the franchise and is widely considered the father of modern football scouting.
He worked alongside president Tex Schramm and head coach Tom Landry to help turn the Cowboys into a powerhouse in the 1960s and 1970s.
Brandt will be the 17th Dallas Cowboy enshrined and joins Champ Bailey, Tony Gonzalez, Johnny Robinson, Ty Law, Ed Reed, Kevin Mawae and Pat Bowlen in the 2019 class. They will be enshrined in Canton, Ohio this summer.
