SAN ANTONIO - The reported rift between Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs proved to be the dominant storyline throughout this season.

But it's nothing free beer and pizza can't solve right?

Freetail Brewing Company wants everything "to go back to how they used to be" so the company is offering Leonard free pizza and beer for life if he plays with the Spurs next season and beyond.

The founder of the brewing company, Scott Metzger, said they have made similar offers to Tim Duncan and LaMarcus Aldridge in the past.

"While neither of them has taken us up on the offer, we still feel like this is a gesture most Spurs fans in our position would make and can relate to," Metzger said.

Leonard is under contract for the 2018-19 season, with a player option the following year. The All-Star forward is eligible to receive a maximum extension this offseason worth $219 million. If the Spurs don't offer the extension, or Leonard declines the offer, he could opt to be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

He played just nine games for San Antonio this season after a quadriceps injury required rehabilitation.

“We felt that it was time for everyone to take a deep breath and chill out a bit," Metzger said. "While he might not take us up on the offer, we just want Kawhi to know we really love our team, and that we understand what he and his teammates mean to the continued success of the Spurs.”
