UTSA coach Frank Wilson comfortable with Grundy at QB to start season
SAN ANTONIO - It was no easy decision, but UTSA head coach Frank Wilson has found his quarterback for Week 1.
It will be junior Cordale Grundy leading the Roadrunners in their first game.
Wilson said that Grundy was the most consistent quarterback out at practice and it showed on Saturday during the team's scrimmage. While Wilson is comfortable with Grundy now, he did make it known to him that just because you are the starter Week 1 doesn't mean you are the starter for the season.
The Roadrunners are on the road Saturday when they travel to take on the Arizona State Sun Devils. It's the first of three games against Power Five teams for UTSA this season.
