Wade Wilson passes away

FRISCO, Texas - Former Dallas Cowboys assistant coach Wade Wilson passed away at his home Friday, the team announced.

Wilson spent 18 years coaching in the NFL. He served as the Cowboys quarterbacks coach from 2000-02 and again from 2007-17. He was in charge for most of Tony Romo's career and helped Dak Prescott growth in his first season.

He was also a back-up quarterback for Dallas from 1995-97 and was a part of the Cowboys Super Bowl team in 96.

Today was his 60th birthday.
