San Antonio Spurs great Tim Duncan is well into his retirement but that doesn't mean he has forgotten his time in the NBA and with the Spurs.

In a snippet from an interview for his San Antonio based "Black Jack Speedshop," Duncan discussed that his success in the NBA came with a big price - a target on his back whenever he stepped on the court.

With all that success early, all that did was put a target on my back. Everybody wanted to be better than me. Everybody wanted to beat me. Everybody wanted to beat the Spurs.

Duncan would go on to win five NBA titles in his illustrious NBA career before retiring in 2016.

He would be named the NBA MVP twice (2002, 2003) and be named an All-Star 15 times during his playing days in the league.

That amount of success would bring plenty of attention and bring out the best from his competitors when he wore the Spurs colors.
