Chase Shannon joined the sports department in August 2018.
He comes from KAKE in Wichita, Kansas where he spent two years covering some of the best college basketball in the country, including a trip to San Antonio for the Final Four with the Kansas Jayhawks. While in Wichita, Chase also covered NFL playoffs with the Kansas City Chiefs, bowl games with the K-State Wildcats and NCAA Tournament runs with the Jayhawks and Wichita State Shockers.
Prior to Wichita, Chase spent a year at KARK/Fox16 in Little Rock, Arkansas, getting to cover SEC football as well as the Little Rock Trojans improbable run to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Texas native started his career with KTEN in Denison, Texas after graduating from Oklahoma State University.
Chase has received several honors from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters, Oklahoma Associated Press Broadcasters, Kansas Association of Broadcasters and Lone Star Excellence In My Market awards for both sports anchoring and sports reporting.
